It is a display technology developed by Apple that combines Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Silicon (LTPS) and Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) backplanes. LTPO OLED displays are known for their energy efficiency and variable refresh rate capabilities. This technology allows the display to dynamically adjust its refresh rate based on the content being displayed, leading to improved battery life. LTPO OLED panels can refresh in a range of 1-120Hz or more without significantly impacting battery consumption, making them ideal for smartphones and other devices where power efficiency is crucial.
